The Scarred Chesterfield takes the rigidity of traditional outerwear and dissects it, creating a new syntax for the classic silhouette. Crafted from an ultra-heavy midnight blue wool, this long coat falls below the knee, offering a timeless shape that is radically altered by calculated chaos.
The right front panel is surgically severed, cutting through the structure and pocket. These sections are then reassembled askew, creating a tension where the right pocket loses its function in favour of form. This disruption is highlighted by a raw, distressed trim inserted between the cuts—a deliberate exposure of the coat’s inner workings. The left side features a similar, more subtle incision placed lower down to ensure the pocket remains functional. The interior reveals an unexpected flash of luxury: a rich, golden satin lining that contrasts sharply with the coat's raw exterior edge.
